Artists Biographies

Tondo is a duo formed of experimental guitarist and visual artist Gemma Thompson (Savages) and drummer Sam Sherry (A Dead Forest Index). Their music is inspired by concepts of graphic scores and mark-making; expanding into collages of sound - open frameworks with jazz influences as much as from painters Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell.

By Gemma Thompson

17 Jan – 5 Feb

voices notations distortion is the debut solo show by artist and musician Gemma Thompson. Inspired by Pauline Oliveros' Sonic Meditations, the exhibition explores Gemma’s soundwalking practice through graphic scores, realised as drawings, paintings, prints, and sonic compositions. Each mark resonates with its own energy – echoing, layering, and unfolding across the surface.
