Marcus Jackson will be joined in performance by Elliot Vaughan and Glen Downie to close the exhibition. Drawing on and responding to the narrative of the installation, they will perform superimpositions of a series of works created during the residency period.

As part of the closing celebration for Why is matter so intelligent, though? artist Amy Jean Barnett is joined by Dr. Craig Radford and Louise Wilson from the Leigh Marine Laboratory to discuss their recent collaboration and delve further into the biological role of underwater sound, in particular how human induced noise in the marine environment might be affecting the various creatures that inhabit this space.
Toi Pōneke is inviting applications for WRITE ROOM - Wellington Screenwriter Residency 2020. This opportunity is for a Wellington-based screenwriter with a feature film project at a stage that will benefit from focused development towards completion of a draft of the script. Applications due by 5pm 20th April 2020
