Join 2020 Write Room Resident Stella Reid (BURBS, Second Unit), 2019 Write Room Resident Abi King Jones (The Fifth Eye, Operation 8, Hot Air) and mentor - Film Producer - Vicky Pope (Savage, Gardening with Soul, Two Little Boys) in a discussion about scriptwriting in relation to The Write Room Wellington scriptwriting residency.

Biographies

Stella Reid recently directed Second Unit (What  Will  You  Do  In  The  Shadows) and the NZ On Air funded short film Drop Down Globe. She helped develop the web-series BURBS, directing and writing several episodes. She is a graduate of Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School.

Abi King-Jones is a New Zealand born and raised Palagi with Samoan ancestry. She has 15 years experience making feature documentaries and she has a Bachelor in Film, Television and Media Studies from Auckland University.

The Write Room Wellington Screenwriter’s Residency is a partnership initiative set up in 2018 by Toi Pōneke Arts Centre, Rob Sarkies (Scarfies, Out of the Blue, Consent ) and Vicky Pope. It recognises the challenges for New Zealand screenwriters to create space in their lives to write and find a place to do their work.
