Dance Development Residency 2023 – Call for Applications

Work in development by Sefa Tunupopo 2022

Deadline 12 February 2023

Residency runs from 1st May – 4th June 2023

This opportunity is open to one choreographer/dancer who will receive 25hrs a week for 5 weeks in the Toi Pōneke Dance Studio (April - May 2022) to develop a new solo dance work alongside our resident emerging production designer. They will receive a stipend to rehearse and will present to an industry only showing at the end. They will have access to a paid mentor. (Either a choreographer, dramaturg or director.)

It is envisaged that the choreographer/dancer can then apply for other funding – Creative Communities, WCC or CNZ arts grants and apply to NZ Fringe or other later in the year for the presentation stage of this work.
