Come and join us for tea or coffee and hear Gary Peters talk about his new work in the exhibition New Old Forms. This show opens 8th Feb at the Toi Pōneke gallery and runs until 29th Feb.
Biography
Gary Peters is an artist based in Wellington with an MFA from Massey University. Previous exhibitions and projects include A Slow Take, Te Tuhi, Auckland (2017); A Slow Burn, Meanwhile, Wellington (2017); The Colour of Courtenay Place, light box public art project, Courtenay Place Park, Wellington (2015); On Hold to Read, curated by Justin Jade Morgan, Wallace Gallery Morrinsville, Auckland (2015); Reading Materials & Occasional Monochromes, Paul Nache Gallery, Gisborne (2014); Is this who you really want to be? 30 Upstairs, Wellington; SNO 90, Sydney Non-Objective Contemporary Art Projects, Australia. He was a merit prize winner in the 2018 Parkin Drawing Prize, NZ Academy of Fine Arts and has been recipient of several residencies including six months at Sydney Non-Objective Contemporary Art Projects in 2012.
