Elizabeth Hodgson - Film/TV Intern for 2025-26
Toi Pōneke Arts Centre and Pop Film are delighted to announce Elizabeth Hodgson who has been selected to be the Film/TV Producer Intern for the Write Room 2025.
Elizabeth Hodgson is a 24-year-old producer and assistant director. Originally from Tauranga, she has called Wellington home for the past 6 years now. Since graduating from Massey University with a Bachelor's in Creative Media Production, she’s produced two seasons of the independent short film series, Snap Shot Shorts, alongside a myriad of other short films, music videos and other creative projects.
Elizabeth will be helping to select the Scriptwriter in Residence for 2026.
The Write Room Film/TV producer internship program is offered in partnership with Toi Pōneke Arts Centre, POP Film and the Wellington City Council Aho Tini 2030 Arts, Culture and Creativity Strategy.
The internship runs from 20 Oct 2025 and comprises of script assessment and development meetings alongside the writer, director and producer to learn the instincts for what makes a good script to pursue for development; facilitation and attendance at a script read-through and 3 x one-on-one meetings with Vicky Pope on aspects of producing.
