You are warmly invited to a talk between Clara Ehrenwerth, artist in residence at the Goethe-Institut in Wellington, and Claire Mabey, director of Verb Wellington Festival. Join us for an interesting discussion with drinks and nibbles.

During the artist talk, Clara will share some projects of machina eX and talk about her experiences as an artist in residence in Wellington. In a dialogue with Claire she will explore different aspects of her creative work in the context of interactive writing, game design and theatre performance.

The Goethe-Institut residency is a cooperation between Wellington City Council and the Goethe-Institut New Zealand.

About Clara

Clara is a Writer, Game Designer & Executive Director at machina eX. The theatre collective specializes mainly on interactive stage adventure games by exploring the intersection of theater and computer games. By combining modern technologies with the means of classical illusion theater, machina eX creates immersive playable theater pieces that are also walk-through computer games.

The Hub is located on the ground floor of the East Building. Wheelchair ramp to front entrance. All doors at Toi Pōneke are pull open doors.

During reception hours, staff can assist with these doors if needed. Please contact us if you would like to ensure someone is on-hand to help upon your arrival.
