Hometown Boomtown Film Screening and Discussion

Thursday 1 Dec 6pm

Gallery

Still image from documentary Hometown Boomtown. A cropped, angled photo of some tall buildings covered with windows. Reflections in the window show a much older style building with detailing - columns and arched windows.

Come along to a film screening of the documentary Hometown Boomtown (dir. John Reid, 1984, 48mins).

The film explores the major changes that took place in urban Wellington in the 1970s and 80s.

Following the screening, join Graham Frost for a discussion with artists Andrew Ross and Cody Ellingham, linking the film to their latest exhibition, The Places We Called Home.

The screening will take place in the gallery amidst their work.

No booking required.
