Facilitator Biographies
Amanda Hereaka
Amanda (Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa) brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise after 20 years in the industry working in almost every role imaginable; from theatre usher to Artistic Director and Board member. She has worked for numerous organisations including Capital E, Taki Rua Productions, Circa Theatre and City Gallery as well as the Wellington International Jazz Festival, Fringe NZ, Laugh, ERUPT Festival and co-established with Native Earth (Canada) and Yirra Yaakin (Australia) the international indigenous theatre festival Honouring Theatre.
She has produced the popular Waitangi day concert Kotahi, as well as outdoor film screenings, Peninsula Pictures, at Kahurangi School in Strathmore Park. Prior to joining Creative New Zealand, Amanda was a Funding Advisor at Wellington City Council.
Katie Taylor-Duke
Katie works in the City Arts and Events team in a strategic delivery capacity – that is working on projects across Council and across the city that deliver to Council’s Arts and Culture Strategy. Many projects are focused on ensuring access to the arts and on increasing opportunities for artists, for example community public art projects and international artist residencies. A large part of this role also encompasses advice about processes relating to delivering arts projects.

All seminars are limited to 18 places.
In order to secure a place you must pay in advance.
Bookings must be made in person at Toi Pōneke Arts Centre reception. Payments must be received in full before each seminar. Unfortunately we currently have no online or internet payment facility.
Reception booking hours are Mon – Fri 10:30am – 7:30pm and Sat & Sun 10:30am – 3:30pm
