Toi Pōneke is calling for proposals from Wellington-based Artists for our 2021 Visual Arts Residency. This 3-month residency culminates in an exhibition of a new body of work at Toi Pōneke Gallery in November 2021.
The aim of this residency is to support a Wellington-based Visual artist to develop a new body of work and provide the artist with resources to dedicate themselves full time to their practice for a period of 13 weeks.
The Toi Pōneke Visual Arts Residency for 2021 marks the fourth year of this opportunity. Applicants should have had previous experience of a solo exhibition or project in a public or artist run space and be looking to develop and expand on their practice. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an interview with a selection panel before a final decision is made.
