Clayton Morgan
10 April - 1 May
TerraObscura is a new exhibition of photography from emerging artist Clayton Morgan.
This exhibition has developed through the artist “comprehending what it means to be in a slowly unfolding catastrophe called - Global Warming”. The photographs represent an uncanny awakening to ecological awareness, and the anxiety that comes with it.
TerraObscura consists of ten large format photographs. The images depict sites where manipulation and representations of natural processes occur, such as food production, power generation and wildlife preservation. Morgan’s photographs consider possible utopian and dystopian futures, imagining and anticipating what might be to come. They are accompanied by short texts which suggest an uncanny realm of coexistence - among people, non-human animals, ecosystems, and the environment.
