Empowering Youth Through Digital Creativity, Culture & Innovation
Kia ora e te whānau,
We’re excited to announce the Rangatahi Digital Arts Programme brought to you by Tuatahi Creatives in partnership with Toi Pōneke and Massey University’s College of Creative Arts.
This is a FREE creative wānanga for rangatahi aged 15–18. This kaupapa is all about building cultural confidence, creative skills, and future career pathways. Over six hands-on workshops, you’ll learn how to use tools like Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, meet working Māori artists and designers, and explore your own whakapapa, pūrākau, and personal identity through digital storytelling.
Hosted at Massey University, Toi Rauwharangi College of Creative Arts, Wellington
Free workshops with limited spaces so booking is essential

Tuatahi Creatives is a creative agency formed by Jordan Tuhura and Tamararo Raihania in July 2021 to further pursue a shared passion for Māori art and culture. "Tuatahi", is the Māori word for "first".
“We named our company this to firstly acknowledge our indigeneity as Māori, being the first peoples of New Zealand. It was also to acknowledge our whakapapa to Te Tai Rāwhiti, the East Coast of the North Island, a place where the people are the first on earth to welcome the day.
Lastly, it is also an acknowledgement to our tipuna Māui, the great polynesian hero and first true navigator of Aotearoa.”
