Celebrate NZ Dance Week at the Toi Pōneke Arts Centre with a programme of free dance tasters! Organised by Dance Aotearoa New Zealand, the Toi Pōneke Dance Tasters is a free platform for the community to give a diverse selection of dance styles a go.
A poetry reading as part of the exhibition Ghosts, floating by Briana Jamieson. George Banach Salas, Maisie Chilton Tressler, Alice Fennessy, Joy Holley, Lizzie Murray, Jane Paul and Briana Jamieson, will read pieces of writing reflecting on thoughts of friendship.

Pakaru by Mitch Tawhi Thomas, produced by Hapai Productions, to premiere as part of Kia Mau Festival 2019. Kingdom of Women, by Nancy Brunning, Hapai Productions. Hide the Dog, co-written by Jamie McCaskill and Nathan Maynard (Tasmania), Tikapa Productions.
Splendor presents over 300 events annually, and is considered an alternative central-nervous-system for Dutch music. This presentation will explore Splendor’s innovative approaches to sustainability, financial models, collective thinking, and the challenge of running a musician-run venue without “programmers”.
