all ages

Our city as a stage! A 5m tall Andean cat puppet by Perúvian artist Meki will perform in Wellington as part of Here & Out – a mini festival of street art by 9 international and local wāhine artists.

Titled The Messenger, the outdoor performance is inspired by Latin American street parades. It will see Meki’s huge puppet perform alongside Pōneke based Latin dance collective Ollin Yoliztli.

Check it out 1.15 – 2pm, Saturday 26 March, Toi Pōneke Arts Centre, 61 Abel Smith Street. Continue to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of street art, with the Here & Out exhibition and artists’ talks, 27 March – 22 April. Vaccine pass required for entry at both events.
