Budget lay out, Excel basics, creative budgeting, CNZ budget template, budget tips and practical advice, basic accounting tasks, using Xero and working with small business accountants.

Thomas & Cameron are back to deliver another madcap but equally informative session tailored to independent artists and organisations.
Facilitator Biographies
Thomas LaHood
Marketing Manager, Chief Financial Officer, Head Clown (Barbarian Productions)
Thomas is a graduate of the Bonts International Clown School (Ibiza) Autumn Academy 2006. He is an experienced performer and clown with a history of physical performance including the touring children’s shows Tale of a Dog (Capital E, 2008-2009), and Caterpillars (2015-2017), as well as frequent commercial acting roles.
He worked as a Clown Doctor for Clown Doctors New Zealand at Wellington Public Hospital for the last five years, and has taught Clown at Whitireia, Toi Whakaari, Victoria and independently. He also co-teaches Management and Marketing for Artists for the MFA course at Victoria with Jo Randerson.
Thomas has been a director of Barbarian Productions since 2006 and performs many roles within the company, including marketing, design and publicity, dramaturgy and financial management.
Cameron Goldsmid
CEO (Outside Accounting)
Cameron is not your average accountant, part of a new breed of entrepreneurs and young CEO’s setting up their own innovative companies. When he’s not 100 mile an hour swimming, cycling, running, or another crazy adventure, Cameron is injecting life to accounting.
With energy and enthusiasm to burn, Cameron is constantly looking for efficiency gains and value-add opportunities for clients.

All seminars are limited to 18 places.
In order to secure a place you must pay in advance.
Bookings must be made in person at Toi Pōneke Arts Centre reception. Payments must be received in full before each seminar. Unfortunately we currently have no online payment facility.
Reception booking hours are Mon – Fri 10:30am – 7:30pm and Sat & Sun 10:30am – 3:30pm
